Education, not advice

Finovo provides general education about financial markets. It does not know your circumstances and never gives personal recommendations. Trading and investing carry risk

  • You can lose some or all of the money you invest.
  • Leverage magnifies losses as well as gains. With leveraged products such as CFDs, spread bets, futures and some options, losses can happen fast.
  • In 2018 the European Securities and Markets Authority reported that, depending on the provider, between 74% and 89% of retail CFD accounts lost money. Providers in the EU must show their own figure.
  • Academic research has found that most individuals who day trade lose money over time.
  • Past performance is not a reliable guide to future results. Charts, patterns and indicators describe what has happened. They don't predict what will happen.

Simulated results have limits

The practice account, drills and chart examples use simulated or illustrative prices. Simulated trading doesn't include real costs, slippage, partial fills, gaps or the pressure of real money, and results in practice may be much better than you would achieve with real funds.

Examples are illustrations

Numbers, strategies and trades in lessons are examples to explain ideas. They are not recommendations and may be simplified.

Your responsibility

Only trade or invest with money you can afford to lose, understand any product before using it, check that any firm you deal with is authorised by your national regulator, and be aware that tax rules depend on where you live.
